Maoist posters found in Purulia ahead of assembly polls 2021

West Bengal, 30th November: The Maoists are active again in Purulia district of Jangalmahal. Maoist posters were seen in Purulia near the Jharkhand border, months before the assembly election in West Bengal. However, people are finding many Maoist posters in different parts of the district.

Dozens of posters and leaflets were found near the paddy field of Madhupur village under Bandwan police station.

In the leaflet, the slogans against the farmer’s bill brought by the central government has been mentioned.

The poster says that “Moist is against the farmer’s the bill as this bill will help the capitalists to grow in the country.

Police rush to the spot to recover the leaflet and posters. Such posters have been seen in the area after 7 years.

The posters have been written in Hindi and English which seek the removal of police camp from School, Panchayat Bhawan, and Health centre and demolition of the Agriculture bill.
