The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Amritsar, Chandigarh, Bareilly, Azamgarh, Jamui, Dumka, Canning and thence southeastwards to North Bay of Bengal. The cyclonic circulation over east Bihar & neighbourhood persists and now extends upto 3.1 km above mean sea level with a trough aloft with its axis at 7.6 km above mean sea level roughly along Longitude 86° E to the north of Latitude 22°N.
