People go in panic after used PPE kits found in the Guwahati market area:

Guwahati, May 16: In another shocking incident as locals found used Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) kits at a market area in Guwahati on Saturday.

Many people were in a panic after the used PPE kits found at a market area at Lakhtokia in the capital city of Assam.

Following the incident, some locals had immediately informed the police and they set ablaze the kits.

Some locals said that, a man with mental illness was seen roaming in the area by wearing some used PPE kits and some people had safely collected two PPE kits from the man.

The locals also alleged that, it is a huge negligence of the authority.

Earlier, a mentally ill man was seen roaming on roads by wearing used PPE kits at the Lokhora area in Guwahati a few days back.

Assam has reported 91 COVID-19 positive cases so far.
