Dakshineswar Temple in Kolkata

Kolkata, 6th November: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, as part of his two-day visit to West Bengal, offers prayer at Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata on Friday. He urged people to fulfill their responsibilities to restore the pride of the state which was the center of spiritual and religious awakening.

Shah will visit the Matua community in New Town after visiting Dakshineswar Kali Temple, and will have lunch at the house of one of the members of the Matua Sangha. The whole city is ready to welcome the Home Minister. Flags and hoardings are put up in the Newtown area.

West Bengal is the land of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Thakur Ramakrishna Paramhans, Vivekananda. Appeasement politics has hurt the state’s tradition. I urge people to fulfill their responsibilities to restore the pride of the state which was center of spiritual & religious awakening,” said Amit Shah.

Ahead of the 2021 Assembly elections in West Bengal, Shah has arrived in the state to take stock of the party’s organizational matters.
