Tripura, Jan 9: Tripura Tourism Minister Pranjit Singha Roy inaugurated the adventure tourism fair at Vivekananda ground in Agartala on Saturday.
Several other officers of the tourism department also attended the inauguration program.
Speaking on the occasion, Roy said that the Tripura government wants to emphasize and highlight adventure tourism in the state.
“The state of Tripura has plenty of natural tourist spots. It’s a gift of God to the state. Now we have to utilize those and decorated those spots. The Chief Minister wants to develop the tourist spots for the betterment of Tripura,” Roy said.
He said, “They have already developed eco-tourism and spiritual tourism, while tea-tourism is underway in Tripura“. This tourism was supposed to be launched in 2020, but the same did not materialize due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tourism was reopened in the state on October 1, 2020, and the state government is planning to expand this sector.
