Tripura COVID fatality rises to 200

Tripura, September 14: Six more people in Tripura died of Covid-19 complications, taking the state’s overall death toll to 200.

According to the state health department, 100 people have died in the state due to coronavirus complications from August 31 to September 13. On average, seven people have died due to Covid-19 in the last 14 days. The death rate in the state was 1.06 per cent. 

Amidst rising cases, on Sunday received less positive cases as less number of tests has been conducted across the state. Despite a spike in a record number of positive cases across Tripura including Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) areas, the situation in AMC areas still grim and worsening the situation day by day.

Among all districts of the state, the capital city Agartala and West Tripura district has witnessed maximum if deaths due to Covid-19 infection. Despite a spike in a certain number of positive cases across Tripura including AMC areas, the situation in AMC is still grim as a maximum of positive cases detected from the capital city, which has registered with 66 positive cases including entire West Tripura district through rapid Antigen tests.

The total number of Covid-19 victims in the state is 18932 with 7171 active cases.

A total of 11536 number of patients are being recovered so far.

The positive rate is at 5.75 per cent and the recovery rate is at 61 per cent so far.
