Tripura, 7th November: With Diwali festivities coming up soon, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb launched eco-friendly diyas on Friday.
Tripura CM introduced the bamboo candles and as an attempt to motivate the unemployed youths to be job-creators rather than job-seekers.
Speaking on the occasion of it, the CM said: “Bamboo products will help reduce unemployment problems in the state.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspired the chief minister’s approach for a new India. Artisans from Sipahijala made eco-friendly bamboo diyas.
“Bring these ideas to your home this Diwali and help fulfil PM Narendra Modiji’s vision of an Atma Nirbhar Bharat, It’s time to show support to traditional items,” said the Chief Minister. While launching the bamboo candles, he said, “This will boost robust employment.”
Chief Minister Deb launched the locally-made eco-friendly diyas at the Secretariat. Earlier, the women’s self-help groups showed him the products.
