Guwahati, 29th October: Police had arrested three persons who allegedly raped three minor girls by luring them on a pretext of showing Durga puja pandals in Assam Goalpara district.
According to the reports, the incident took place at Rongjuli High School playground on the night of October 22.
Police said that the three accused persons lured the victim minor girls on a pretext of showing various Durga puja pandals in the district and allegedly raped them.
The accused persons had used a four-wheeled vehicle and a motorcycle and police also seized it.
Goalapara district Additional Superintendent of Police Amitabh Basumutary said that, the victims had lodged a complaint to Rongjuli police station Assam on October 27 evening and police had registered a case under various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police had arrested two accused on Tuesday night and one on Wednesday.
On the other hand, the victims claimed that the accused persons had captured the video of the incident in their mobile phones and police have started an investigation on it.
