Sikkim, 4th December: Ganga Prasad, the Governor of Sikkim inaugurated the Molecular Laboratory of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences on Friday.
Chief Minister PS Tamang and Health Minister Dr MK Sharma was also there in the inaugural ceremony.
The Laboratory has been accredited to the National Accreditation Board of Testing & Calibration Laboratories, for molecular testing.
The lab has been permitted to initiate COVID 19 testing. It will also conduct HIV testing and many more.
The testing facility is regarded as a boon for the people of Sikkim, during the COVID-19 Pandemic in addition to Government Hospital.
