Sandakphu witnesses year’s first snowfall

Bengal, Jan 31: Sandakphu, the highest point of the West Bengal received the first snowfall of this season. The sudden snowfall has elevated the spirits of tourists visiting the Hills.

The cold wind is blowing in town for the last 4 days it and the reason is snowfall in Sandakphu by which the temperature is drop-down.

Incidentally, Sandakphu located at an altitude of 11,930 feet is the highest point of West Bengal. Located in the Singhalila National Park it is a world-famous trekking spot. Sandakphu offers breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga and is a famous sunrise viewing spot.

Usually, Sandakphu witnesses snowfall very frequently during this season but this season only in the last week of November.

Tourists are waiting for snowfall in Tiger Hill it is predicted that snowfall may happen in upcoming days.

Last year also at the end of Feb month snowfall was seen in Tiger hill.
