Budget session of Meghalaya to be resumed from May 20:

Shillong, May 13: Amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown, the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will resume its re-assembled budget session from May 20.

The re-assembled budget session of Meghalaya for the financial year 2020-21 will be held from May 20 to May 22.

The budget estimates for the financial year 2020-21 will be placed on May 21.

Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Commissioner and Secretary Andrew Simons said that, the government business will be taken up on May 20 and May 21 while private members businesses to be held on May 22.

He also said that, the budget estimates for 2020-21 will be passed on May 21.

Meghalaya has reported 13 positive cases for COVID-19 so far and the first patient died at the hospital.

Out of them 11 COVID-19 patient tests have been found negative.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted – “The 11th case was tested again after 24 hours. Her test has come out negative again. Based on protocols, the patient has recovered. Meghalaya as of now has only one active case.”
