Delhi, September 30: Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju was seen dancing with residents of a village in Arunachal Pradesh while on a visit to review the progress of a project. Reacting to the video, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Rijiju “a decent dancer”.

In the Kazalang village, Rijiju was welcomed by the local Sajolang people, also known as Miji with their traditional song and dance

Dressed in a white shirt and beige trousers paired with a maroon jacket, Union Law Minister danced with the villagers as locals recorded the scenario and also cheered for the minister.

“During my visit to beautiful Kazalang village to monitor the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Projects. This is the traditional merrymaking of Sajolang people whenever guests visit their village. The original folk songs and dances are the ESSENCE of every community in Arunachal Pradesh,” Kiren Rijiju said in the caption of his post.

PM Modi reacted to Kiren Rijiju’s post and said, “Our Law Minister @KirenRijiju is also a decent dancer! Good to see the vibrant and glorious culture of Arunachal Pradesh.”

Rijiju is an MP from the Arunachal West constituency, is quite active on social media. From health and fitness-related videos to flaunting his singing skills, Rijiju shares it all with his followers.

The Miji community mainly lives in the West and East Kameng districts of Arunachal Pradesh, near the lower parts of the Himalayan hills. The word Miji is composed of two words – Mai meaning fire and Ji meaning Giver.
