NFR to restart train services in Tripura

Tripura, 6th October: As COVID-19 lockdown constraint lightens in Tripura, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is ready to commence restricted train services in Tripura.

NFR’s chief public relation officer Subhanan Chanda mentioned they are going to resume three pairs of DEMU (diesel electrical a number of units) trains from Monday.

The DEMU trains would run between Dharmanagar (North Tripura) and Agartala; and Sabroom (South Tripura) and Agartala.

The trains would halt in any respect stations alongside the routes.

Official mentioned the choice to resume train services was taken after receiving a proposal from the State authorities.

The NFR had been working one AC Special Train between New Delhi and Agartala on a weekly foundation.

It is operating a complete of 12 pairs of trains from the Northeast to totally different instructions of the nation, the official mentioned.
