Nagaland will get five hostels for Polytechnic Institutes

Nagaland, March 2: The Ministry of Higher and Technical Education has agreed to sanction five hostels for Polytechnic Institutes in Nagaland, informed PRO Nagaland House in New Delhi, Kuolie Mere on Monday.

According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Nagaland House, the Ministry has also agreed to upgrade the institutes with modern laboratories and IT equipment.

The agreement was reached during a meeting held between the delegation of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government led by Minister of Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Temjen Imna Along, Chairman of All India Council Technical Education, Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe and other officials of the Ministry, in New Delhi on Monday.

The Ministry has, however, asked the State to submit the Detailed Project Report (DPR) within 15 days to ensure the project sees the light of day.

Meanwhile, Minister of Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Temjen Imna Along informed that the delegation also had a discussion on establishing the ‘National Institute of Fashion Technology’ in Nagaland under the Technical Education Department.
