Bengal, Dec 13: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has asked West Bengal to release three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers for central deputation. This follows the attack on BJP chief JP Nadda’s convoy on Thursday when Nadda was headed to Diamond Harbour, the Lok Sabha constituency of CM Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee.
Bhola Nath Pandey (SP-Diamond Harbour), Praveen Tripathi (DIG-Presidency Range) and Rajeev Mishra (ADG-South Bengal) were responsible for Nadda security during his trip to Diamond Harbour when the attack occurred.
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya tweeted, “This should serve as a clear message to the Bengal bureaucracy. If dereliction of duty, based on political consideration, is your calling, then there will be cost.”

Make no mistake. This dispensation is on its last leg. Pishi is not returning as CM. There is little to be gained. https://t.co/2uPb9wLiMZ
