Mizoram receive the first batch of COVID vaccine

Mizoram, Jan 14: The first batch of Covid the vaccine developed by Serum Institute of India (SII) ‘Covishield‘ reaches Lengpui Airport, Mizoram on Thursday.

As directed by Cantal Government, the first batch of vaccine for the coronavirus have been shipped to different States in India.

Today Mizoram also received its first batch of 18500 dose of Covaxin COVID Vaccine which was shipped to Lengpui Airport via Kolkata.

The shipment arrived at 1:30 pm and was received by Dr Vanlalrengpuia, State Programme Manager, and Er R Vanlaldingngheta State Cold Chain and Logistics Manager which was then transported to Aizawl Civil Hospital State vaccine store under high security.

The first batch of Vaccines will be launched on 16th Jan 2021 (Saturday) at Civil Hospital Aizawl, ITI Urban Primary Health Centre, Zoram Medical College, and Lunglei Civil Hospital where 100 people each will receive the vaccine in the first phase.
