Mizoram, July 18: The church Mizoram Kohhran Hruaitute Committee (MKHC), a conglomerate of major churches in Mizoram, has called for a state-wide prayer to contain the spread of Covid19 as the state is grappling with the second wave of the pandemic.
A church leader said the prayer will be joined by the people in their respective homes on Sunday at 7 pm to seek divine intervention to contain the Covid19 pandemic.
In this connection, a prayer programme will be organised by the MKHC at Zarkawt Presbyterian Church building in Aizawl, which will be live aired through local cable televisions, he said.
All the people will join the prayer programme at their respective places at the same time, he said.
The leader said that the present border dispute with neighbouring Assam, Myanmar political crisis and refugees are among the prayer subjects.
