Mizoram, April 16: 25 new COVID19 cases have been detected in Mizoram. These new 25 cases were detected after conducting tests throughout Thursday.
Of these 25 fresh COVID19 cases in Mizoram, 21 were detected after conducting the Rapid Antigen Test and 4 were detected after conducting an RT-PCR test at the Zoram Medical College. The active COVID-19 cases tally in Mizoram has gone up to 258.
On the other hand, the total COVID-19 cases tally in Mizoram has also risen to 4747. No new COVID-19 related death case has been reported from Mizoram.
The COVID-19 death tally in Mizoram stands at 12. As per the latest data released by the Mizoram Government, a total of 4477 people have recovered from COVID-19 thus far.

Meanwhile, the Mizoram government has shut down schools up to class VIII in view of the surge in infections. The government has also imposed a night curfew in all district headquarters across the state.
