Guwahati, April 13: After Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram another NE state Meghalaya has also extended the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown till April 30.

The Meghalaya cabinet on Monday decided to extend the ongoing lockdown in the state till April 30.

The cabinet meeting chaired by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma had also decided that, inter-state movement remains restricted and all inter-state entry and exit points will continue to be remained sealed throughout Meghalaya.

The Meghalaya cabinet also decided to provide one-time financial assistance of Rs 3000 to each citizen from Meghalaya both students and working individuals numbering about 3000 individuals in total, stranded in different parts of the country due to lockdown.

Earlier, the Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram governments had decided to extend the ongoing lockdown in the states till April 30.
