Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu & Kiren Rijiju try hand in archery

Northeast, Feb 16: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu and Union Minister Kiren Rijjiju are in Arunchal Pradesh. The three leaders tried hands in the sports of archery.

Earlier, Conrad K Sangma visited Tawang, on the occasion of the Losar festival on Saturday. He was welcomed by the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu, together with Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju.

Sangro wrote on FB, “Bowled by the hospitality of #Tawang in #ArunachalPradesh. Looking forward for a memorable day ahead in this beautiful city, home to India’s oldest monasteries. Thank you, my friends, Pema Khandu ji Kiren Rijiju ji for the warm welcome in your State.

The Losar celebrations started at Thubchog Gatselling and Gontse Gaden Rabgyeling monasteries, in West Kameng district on Friday.

A video of Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu & Kiren Rijiju shooting arrows was uploaded on Twitter by CM Pema Khandu on Monday. Pema Khandu took to Twitter and wrote, “Archery is a favourite sport in villages of Tawang and their proud tradition. Had CM of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju try their hands at shooting arrows in Gyankhar village on the occasion of Losar festival.
