Bengaluru, Feb 20: A bachelor in Karnataka’s Bengaluru was all set on Valentine’s Day to get a relaxing cross-gender Bangkok – style massage with a ‘happy ending’. He had not imagined that he would instead end up being held at knifepoint and losing Rs 11,000. That’s not the climax of his harrowing Valentine’s Day experience. Later, when he went to a police station to lodge a complaint in connection with the incident, the cops there allegedly laughed at him.
Karan (name changed), 41, lives in Bengaluru’s Cox Town. While searching for a massage parlour, he saw a site www.sutramassage.com and dialed the contact number provided in order to make a booking for February 14. A woman answered the call and told him that they charge Rs 3,000 for a full body massage. She took Karan’s booking and told him to meet her agent around 6 pm in Kamanahalli on February 14.

According to a report, When Karan arrived at the spot on February 14, he got a call from one Shashank Chowti. Chowti took Karan to a deserted spot in Kammanahalli, where he asked him to pay Rs 3,000 for the massage. Karan transferred the money from his e-wallet, but Chowti claimed that he didn’t receive the money. Following this, he transferred Rs 3,000 to his account again. In total, he sent Rs 6,000 to Chowti. Soon after, an auto-rickshaw arrived there with three women inside it. Chowti left after telling Karan to choose the female masseuse.
The three women then threatened him and forced him to pay Rs 4,500. They said that they would scream if he didn’t pay them. After he gave them money, the auto driver held him at knifepoint and demanded money from him. He had only Rs 500 left. He gave it to the auto driver and then ran from there.
Following this, he went to Banaswadi police station to lodge a complaint. “First, the constable, who heard my story, started judging me and laughing at me. He then informed the sub-inspector who also had a smirk on his face. They registered the complaint but did not give me an acknowledgment. I visited the commissioner’s office the next day and submitted my complaint again,” the report quoted the victim as saying.
