The incident happened in Tindheria (17 km from Kurseong town) toward Siliguri.

Whereas this is (Tindharia) a famous spot for landslides, and every year landslide takes place in this area near Darjeeling.

In the year 2009, a major landslide had taken place below the railway workshop, and in the month of February 2021, the road was open again after 13 years.

The people of that area were happy but today again another major landslide took place above that spot, and this time also the road has been swept away by a landslide.
