Kolkata, May 26: All flyovers in Kolkata have been closed by the city’s police force owing to bad weather conditions. Giving the information on Twitter, the DCP of Kolkata Traffic tweeted this as Cyclone Yaas starts showing impact in the city.
The tweet reads: “Traffic update:- Due to bad weather following flyovers are closed to traffic 1. Garden Reach flyover 2. Taratala flyover 3. Park Street flyover 4. Ultadanga flyover 5. Chingrighata flyover 6. Gariahat flyover 7. AJC Bose flyover 8. Maa flyover“

Very severe cyclonic storm Yaas started battering the northern coastline of Odisha with powerful winds and rains on Wednesday morning as it made landfall at Bahanaga block around 9 am with a sustained wind speed of 130 to 140 kmph gusting up to 155 kmph.
