Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, a powerful explosion rocked Manipur’s Imphal West district on Thursday.
A minor girl was injured in an explosion in Manipur Imphal West district on Thursday early morning.
According to the police, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was exploded in front of a cloth shop at Lalambung Makong area on RIMS road at around 4-55 am.
Police suspected that, militants of banned outfit had triggered the explosion.
Following the explosion, top police official and other security personnel had rushed to the area and started investigation.
The injured girl was rushed to nearby hospital.
Security has been beefed up in the area and launched operation against the suspected militants.
