Since this is my first visit to the state, I have met all the MLAs, Ministers and MPs this morning and now everything will be sorted out”.

Speaking about his visit, Sonkar said, “after being given the responsibility of Tripura, I have come here for the first time and the slew of meetings that have been organized since I have come here is introductory in nature. My primary job is to have a sense of the organizations and other various departments of the state BJP”.

Asked about the expansion of ministry, he said, the matter has come up for discussion and further discussion on the matter will be done as time comes.

Speaking on the alliance with IPFT in the ensuing ADC polls, he said, “the track record of BJP is clear and we know how to form an alliance and follow the principles of alliance. Bihar is a glaring example of this. With time, we shall reach out to the IPFT party for the alliance in ADC elections and if their demands are found legitimate it will be approved. But, we shall not entertain any illegitimate demand”.
