Bengal, 6th December: West Bengal CID has named BJP’s national vice-president Mukul Roy in its charge sheet filed in the murder case of Trinamool Congress MLA Satyajit Biswas in Nadia district. The agency filed a supplementary charge sheet at the ACJM court in Ranaghat on Saturday.

Krishnaganj MLA Satyajit Biswas was killed in his home area on the day of Saraswati Puja in 2019 dated on 10th February 2019. The CID started an investigation of the murder case. Earlier, the charge sheet had the name of MP Jagannath Sarkar, as per the source. Sarkar has already been questioned by the CID several times in connection with the murder.

APP of Ranaghat Court, Pradip Sarkar said, “Haskhali PH Case No. 56 dated -10/02/19, and the case was complained by Milan Saha and the incident that you all people are already been aware of, the last English Calendar’s- 9/02/2019, Krishnaganj Vidhansabha Constituency, MLA- Satyajit Biswas was murdered and in the context of this murder case, the incident has been caused. And for that incident, the main charge sheet had been submitted, and later on, there was the submission of supplementary charge sheets and today even a supplementary charge sheet has been submitted and in that charge sheet, a person named Mukul Roy got charge-sheeted, CID department has submitted that charge sheet on his name in learned SCM Court of Ranaghat. And the learned Court has taken cognizance based on the charge sheet. Till now the condition remains this.”

“Earlier Mukul Roy was kept under observation and investigations were being continued till today and it was said if any such materials would be found then only the steps would be taken against him and finally we got so he has been charge-sheeted now under Article-302, 120(b) under Indian laws of punishment. We are not asking to disclose any such official matters, but when materials are being found then only the steps have been taken,” added Pradip Sarkar.

Mukul Roy, who was questioned by the CID in March, has been granted anticipatory bail by the Calcutta High Court (HC).

Moving forward to this topic MP from Ranaghat Jagannath Sarkar said, “This is completely apolitical planning, till then we were known to the fact that he would be charge-sheeted earlier only but he wasn’t given the charge sheet because the TMC had thought that with this Mukul Roy can come back to join so accordingly few months were kept within. Whereas in my case without being having my name in the charge sheet or any such case forcefully have involved mine one in the supplementary charge sheet and that time set Mukul Roy free from these all so that he become back again to join them but Mukul Roy is true to belong to BJP, he has proven this in our Commander (Senapati) war and he will never going to join TMC anyway under any trap or greed. Moreover, this incident is completely a political conspiracy and trap which will be proven in the future.”

“Article 120 (b) deals with conspiracy. Mukul Roy’s name was never erased off it was there rather police and CID department have said we kept him under observation based on the doubt till something concrete proof materials can be found and ultimately today the charge sheet got submitted in his name,” later informed Pradip Sarkar.

Add to it Jagannath Sarkar said, “Here murder cases are taken back, the murderer Bimal Gurung is being allowed to enter Darjeeling and the police are not even arresting him because of just that they want to throw out BJP from the place. So all these are the presentations of extremely dirty political planning of the Mamata government.”

Apart from them, it’s very significant to look for what exactly the advocate of BJP’s Mukul Roy conveyed.

“Today CID has submitted their second supplementary charge sheet against Mukul Roy in the murder case of Satyajit Biswas MLA, 88, Krishnaganj assembly constituency, unfortunately, and astonishingly the additional district and session judge Ranaghat at the time of allowing the divisional application preferred by the de-facto complainant of this case categorically restricted the scope of further investigation in this case despite the fact CID has continued this further investigation so-called further investigation in clear violation of the order of the learned court the investigation itself is illegal and the charge sheet is also illegal it has been alleged that Mukul Roy was involved in the conspiracy of this case but appears, rather appears to us that it is a conspiracy against Mukul Roy illegal further investigation and illegal charge sheet, we will move before the High Court setting proper remedy,” said Advocate Suman Roy.
