Guwahati, August 14: Guwahati Frontier, Border Security Force (BSF) apart from manning Indo-Bangladesh International Border, also assists border population in an emergency like disaster response as well as providing medical assistance.

On 13 Aug’ 2020, the local villagers of Village Kuchhabari (located ahead of Indo-Bangladesh Border Fence), PO- Madhya Madhusudan, PS- Sitalkuchi, Dist- Coochbehar(WB) intimated BSF regarding Samrit Barman(25 Yrs) S/O – Anil Barman Barman was bitten by a snake.

Seema Praharies of Border Out Post (BOP) Chotamadhusudan of 47 Bn BSF in Distt- Coochbehar,(West Bengal) under Guwahati Frontier taken timely action and provided a Govt vehicle & evacuated the patient to nearest hospital Sitalkuchi.


The border people lauded the personnel for providing timely help to Border people.

Border Security Force is dedicated for security of Border of India as well as protection of border population. BSF is the largest Border Guarding Force in the world.
