Big B and family tests for COVID-19

After testing positive for COVID-19, an old video of Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan(Big B) thanking doctors, nurses and medical staff of Nanavati hospital is doing rounds of the Internet.

Big B was tested positive for Coronavirus on Saturday, following which he was admitted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai.

“T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive ..  shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited…

All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !” He tweeted.

Later, on Saturday, son Abhishek Bachchan also tested positive for the virus.

Although Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Aradhya Bachchan had tested negative initially, another round of tests showed the latter two positive for Coronavirus.

According to doctors and officials of the Nanavati hospital, Senior Bachchan had mild symptoms of the virus and is doing well. His condition is stable, they informed ANI.

“Namashkar, this is Amitabh Bachchan. I am wanting to talk to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Nanavati hospital for the tremendous work that you are doing in these trying circumstances.” He said in the video.

“The entire country views all of you with reverence. And as I said, you all are incarnations of God himself.  He will look after you.” He could be heard saying in the video.
