Guwahati, June 19: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma-led Assam government has now introduced the ‘No Electricity Bill Payment, No Salary’ policy for all the State Government Employees.
A notification issued by the Chief Minister has directed to instruct all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDO) to ensure “No dues payable against Electricity Bill of APDCL”.
“No dues payable against Electricity Bill of APDCL” will be generated for all employees before processing of wages or salary bills, before or on 30th June 2021.

According to Sarma, a section of consumers in the State makes the APDCL suffer around ₹300 crores loss per month.
