Assam boy to receive Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar

Assam, Jan 25: Tanuj Samaddar, a resident of Assam has been selected for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in the category of Art and Culture. 32 applicants have been selected for the award from across the country for the year 2021.

Tanuj is a student of Class 9, of S.E.R.S. Public School, and hails from Rangia, Assam.

These children have been selected for their exceptional abilities and outstanding accomplishments in the field of innovation, scholastics, sports, arts, culture, social service, and bravery.

While commending the young achievers, President Ram Nath Kovind has stated in a message that he is hopeful that the award will not only motivate the winners but will also encourage millions of other young children to dream, aspire and stretch their limits.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the awardees today on Monday, 25th January through video conferencing. Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani will also be present on the occasion. Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar.
