Assam: 30-year-old makes Lamborghini out of old Swift by watching YouTube videos

Assam, June 18: A motor mechanic from Assam has developed a Lamborghini car by using limited local resources. Nurul Haque, a mechanic, modified an old Maruti Swift car into a sports car that looks like a model of Italian luxury car Lamborghini. Nurul is a resident of the Bhanga area in the Karimganj district of Assam.

30-year-old Nurul Haque from Assam said that he spent Rs 6.2 lakh on this project, and he has always wanted to drive a sports car like Lamborghini.

It was my dream to make and drive such a luxury car. I love Lamborghini cars and finally, I have modified an old Maruti Swift car into my dream car,” Nurul Haque said.

A motor mechanic by profession, Nurul owns a garage, N Maruti Car Care, in the Bhanga area.

The first wave of Covid-19 lockdown forced him to sit at home with no work and he decided to make his own version of the Italian luxury car model by customizing the engine of an old Maruti Swift car.

For the past eight months, I have been engaged in my project. The total expenditure of my project is around Rs 6.2 lakh,” Nurul said.

First, I started building parts of a Lamborghini model by watching YouTube videos. I know the price of a Lamborghini car. But it was my dream to drive that type of car and I finally made it,” Nurul said.

Haque has now become a celebrity after he posted some pictures of his modified car on social media. Many people have come to his garage to take selfies with the car.

Nurul Haque also said that his next wish is to make a replica of Ferrari and that he is planning to make a customized replica of another luxury sports car.
