The Assam Skill Development Mission has been working tirelessly since 2017 with a mission to providing employment and quality skill training to the youth of our state.

Shri Anand Prakash Tiwari, IPS, Mission Director, Assam Skill Development Mission has enhanced the level of performance and purpose of the Mission by implementing and maintaining a broader vision for the same.

Our special focus remains on empowering girls to aspire big, overcoming challenges posed by social stigma and deep-rooted gender disparity.

From empanelling vocational training providers to impact training under NAPS and even giving focus on short term skilling programs.

The primary objective behind NAPS is to provide hands-on training to youth and make them job-ready as per the industry standard.

The ASDM has got industrial proposals to make 11 Advanced Skill Training Centre, which will be envisaged as sector-specific training centres. The training would be of international standard and benchmarking or so the government plans to accomplish.

ASDM has created institutional capacity under PLSDTP and has expanded more than 150 training providers with more than 350 training centres to support training across 33 sectors.

Under PMKVY 2.0 ASDM has empanelled more than 15 training partners with approximately 30 training centres. The process of empanelling more training partner under PMKVY 2.0 is still in continuation.
