Though the number of active cases and fresh cases declining steadily in Meghalaya is a good news, there is a need for maintaining caution and strict surveillance to fully overcome the pandemic.

It is observed that SOPs are not being followed strictly by all citizens, and it may be noted that any complacency will lead to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Therefore, citizens are advised to exercise caution, follow all protocols and adhere to the SOPs to ensure that the Districts do not see a resurgence in cases.

Failure to comply with the protocols and social distancing fines would be imposed on violators.
