Northeast, 4th December: North East Festival will be held in Assam’s Guwahati on 19th and 20th December 2020. This is the 8th edition of the two days festival.

The popular event has been held at Indira Gandhi National Centre, Delhi for the Arts ever since its establishment seven years ago but this year it will be held in Guwahati.

The event will be organized following all the Covid-19 protocols and guidelines with minimum human presence and broadcasted throughout the globe through digital platforms.

The North East Festival is an effort to showcase and increase awareness about the North East of India and to encourage entrepreneurship and tourism. One of the key goals of the festival is to attract tourists and investment and to establish optimistic vibration during these trying times.

Success stories of North East Youth Session will highlight prominent personalities of the region such as Zubeen Garg, Hima Das, Riyan Parag Das, Anshu Jemsepa, Lansing Ming, Niti Deb, Armstrong Palme, and many others speaking about their journey.

A session Market connection on Agriculture will have farmers, producing companies of the Northeast region interacting with buyers from outside. A B2B Meeting will also be held where tourism stakeholders of the NE will interact with tour operators of the country.
